The Principality of Monaco is a fascinating city which has been under the reign of the Grimaldi family since 1297.

In 1997, the Grimaldi family celebrated the 700th anniversary of its reign in Monaco and today H.S.H. Prince Albert II is Monaco’s head of state.

Monte-Carlo, created in 1866, named in honour of Prince Charles III, is a district of the Principality of Monaco.

Monte-Carlo hosts an internationally famous Casino, luxury hotels and leisure facilities.

Monaco hosts many extraordinary yearly events such as the Monte-Carlo International Tennis Championships (April), The Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix (May) and the Monte-Carlo Television Festival (February) with many operas, ballets and concerts all year round.
